I took a quick run to Metrobeach today.... as I was making my way around the trails I noticed that the opening of the Wood Duck box was plugged... as I got closer, I noticed that a Screech Owl (83) was sitting in the opening enjoying the sun.... I slowly moved closer and managed a couple of pics.... I also saw a ton of Red-winged Blackbirds and a few Common Grackles (84) along the trail... I Am. Coot was sitting in the small pond near the bridge..... I also had my first Killdeer (82) of the year calling loudly as it flew over my house this morning... this is 6 days sooner than last year...
